Our History
Atelier Skalo Boutique Hotel is set within a beautifully restored 18th-century mansion in Scharloo, one of Willemstad’s most historically significant neighborhoods and part of Curaçao’s UNESCO World Heritage area. Originally developed in the 1700s as an elegant residential quarter for merchants and prominent families, Scharloo is known for its stately architecture and layered colonial heritage. The building that now houses Atelier Skalo Boutique Hotel has been carefully preserved and reimagined, retaining its historic character while introducing contemporary comfort and boutique design.
